I love the cranberry sauce to be made from scratch with real cranberries, fresh or frozen... whatever available at the local market.
Although I grew up with traditional food, we never associated sweet dishes with our meals. To these days I can't mix the flavors just because it is traditional.
However I like to please all my guests and have all the trimmings needed for the meal.
I like the cranberry to be chunky, not too sour or sweet. The peel and the tiny seeds from the fruit adds a slight bitter taste that goes very well with the sweet and sour.
